Brinkburn Priory Cottage is a hidden gem set in a delightfully secluded position right in the grounds of Brinkburn Priory. Its unique location, in the heart of Northumberland's loveliest countryside, offers long rambles through woodlands, fishing (by arrangement) - literally on the doorstep and even swimming in the cool, calm river.

A recently converted grade II listed stables and coach house, the cottage successfully combines old fashioned charm with modern day comforts. The entrance is through a glass porch into the converted "coachmans room", now the living room, whilst the "hay loft" upstairs makes a cosy bedroom.

Nearest train station: Morpeth
From Newcastle upon Tyne, take the A1 North.
After Morpeth, take the A697 to Coldstream/Rothbury. At Weldon Bridge, take the B6344.
About 2 miles on, you will find the entrance to Brinkburn Priory beside a short terrace of farm cottages. Drive right into the entrance for the Priory and along the winding track. By the Priory car park there is a gate which you will need to open (and close again). After a further short winding track, you will arrive at the Priory where there is a final gate to the owners' house and the cottage.
