within the quiet village of Harbottle in the centre of the Beautiful
Coquet Valley. the Cottage is well placed for walking right from
the door, and is ideal for walks in the Cheviot Hills, Simonside
Hills and the Harbottle Hills.
The location offers a wide variety of wildlife and gives you the
opportunity to enjoy bird watching, private fishing, walking and
cycling.
There is plenty of historical interest within a 20 miles radius
including Hadrian's Wall, Castles and National Trust properties.
Harbottle Castle (the remains of) once the Bastion of Coquetdale
and the Administrative HQ for Redesdale and the Borders is just
a few yards walk away.
The cottage can also be used as a base for touring and visiting
the Northumberland Coast, Farne Islands, and Kielder Water.
The cottage is equipped with TV and video, there are facilities
for washing and drying and there's a "handy pub" very
close by!.
