The Cottage at Well Close is a

and lovely river bank are only a short stroll away. At the same time, it also
has the advantage of exceptionally large and wonderfully secluded gardens which
are peaceful and relaxing.
The owner, Anthea, can describe the powerful ley
lines which run through the garden and is happy to explain earth energies and
how they are detected to guests who are interested.
There is a wood, maze,
medicine wheel, wild area and pond all available for the use of Guests. |

The
interior walls are panelled with wood, enhancing the warm and cosy atmosphere
and the living room is furnished with a three piece suite, electric fire, TV,
video, dining table and chairs and, unusually, a piano. There is a small but neat
and well equipped kitchen, very much in keeping with cottage character.
The double bedroom leads through to the twin room making this an ideal house for
families.
There is a fully fitted bathroom with bath and shower and washing
machine and drying facilities are available in a seperate outhouse. |  |
If you can bring yourself to leave the atmosphere of culture and
serenity at Well Close Cottage to discover the delights of Northumberland beyond,
there are wonderful countryside walks all around. Saunter easily along the river
bank or don trusty walking boots and take to the hills.
Drive out to see the
coast and many castles, stately homes and gardens, or stay local and enjoy golf,
tennis, bowls, fishing, horse riding or hire a mountain bike and venture off into
the heart of the unspoilt Northumberland National Park. | |

By road: From Newcastle upon Tyne, take the A1 north.
After
Morpeth, take the A697, to Coldstream/Rothbury. At Weldon Bridge, take the B6344.
Arrive into the outskirts of Rothbury and Well Close is immediately on the right
through impressive stone gate posts bearing the words "The Sanctuary".
