Rothbury & Coquetdale Tourism Association (RACTA)
is a voluntary organization consisting of diverse businesses in
and around Rothbury and in Coquetdale. It has a constitution, and
it's aims are to promote tourism to the area for the benefit of
the people of Rothbury and Coquetdale. Any business in the area
is eligible to join and new members from whatever quarter are warmly
received.
The Association have an AGM and other general meetings as the need
arises. The day to day affairs are run by an elected committee of
7 members of the Association, and members are kept regularly informed
of the state of business. Members are also encouraged to Feedback
to the committee at any time on any matter concerning tourism and
the environment.
New members are always welcome to the ranks. If
you have a business that is related to tourism (you can tell if
you find that your takings go up in the summer months) then you
are probably tourism-related!

(Membership fees for year 2007- 2008 continue at £20 for retail
members. The fee for accommodation providers is now £25 and
for those with multiple businesses, each additional business incurs
